The immune system is without a doubt one of the most complex and intriguing systems of the human body. However, at the same time it is also very delicate and can be corrupted by the exposure of virus, bacteria and pathogens in our body. Therefore we need to take care of it and keep a check on the food and drinks we consume.
If the immune system of our body is not able to function properly then we are exposed to the risks of various diseases like thyroiditis, diabetes and even cancers and HIV. As a result we need to include some immune system boosters in our diet so that our immune system can function properly and take care of us for the remainder of our life. Mushrooms are the first item in the list and not only do they taste good but are also rich in protein. Research has shown that mushrooms tend to increase the general performance as well as the quantity of white blood cells in our body and as a result protect us from various kinds of infections. So we need to add at least two mushrooms in our daily diet to give our immune system a nice boost.
Garlic is the next item in the list and is known for reducing the chances of suffering from common cold. In addition to this intake of garlic can also reduce the probability of colonic and stomach cancer significantly. Yogurt is the third item in the list as it is full of probiotics and chicken soup is the fourth. Cooking the chicken tends to release an amino acid known as Cysteine which can boost our immune system and protect us from cold and flu.
